The World Affairs Council of Orange County is excited to announce our upcoming lecture event at Sandhu Conference Center in Chapman University. Please join us in welcoming Former FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb, MD to discuss his New York Times bestselling book, “Uncontrolled Spread: Why COVID-19 Crushed US and How We Can Defeat the Next Pandemic.” Enjoy hors d’oeuvres while listening to Dr. Scott Gottlieb identify the reasons why the US was caught unprepared for the pandemic and how the country can improve its strategic planning to prepare for future viral threats. A copy of Dr. Scott Gottlieb’s book is included with registration, and be sure to stick around to the end of the event for a book signing!

EVENT PARKING LOCATION:
Your confirmation email will include the Jim Miller Parking Structure map with directions. Entrance to the Jim Miller Parking Structure is located north of Walnut Avenue on Grand Street (The structure is JM on the campus map). Please park on the top two levels of the parking structure (Levels 5 and 6). The structure elevator only goes to Level 5, and it is located on the southwest side.
EVENT PARKING PASS:
Your confirmation email will include your electronic parking permit. The parking permit must be placed inside the dash of each vehicle. Please park on the top two levels of the parking structure (Levels 5 and 6). The structure elevator only goes to Level 5, and it is located on the southwest side.
A parking permit is required to park in all University parking lots and structures. Parking is unavailable in parking spaces marked reserved parking spaces. Parking on City streets is restricted to the campus side only. A city parking permit is required to park on the street opposite the university. Please observe all handicapped and reserved spaces. The university is not responsible for parking tickets issued to guests.
