2025/2026 Scholarship Offer

The British American Business Council (BABC) – Orange County is pleased to announce the availability of three scholarships aimed at high school seniors who are poised to make a difference through higher education. Below are the criteria and requirements for applicants, as well as suggested essay topics that reflect the British-American connection.

Scholarship Awards:

1st Place: $1,500

2nd Place: $1,000

3rd Place: $500

Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on the quality of their application, academic achievements, the compelling nature of their essay, and their embodiment of the values and interests of the British American Business Council – Orange County.

Applications Open May 2025

Submission Deadline:

All applications materials must be received by midnight on November 10, 2025

Award Notification:

Scholarship winners will be notified by November 24th, 2025 and will be recognized at the

annual BABC-OC Christmas Luncheon on December 12th, 2025

 Submission Process:

Applications and all supporting documents should be submitted electronically to BABC-OC Executive Director, Nina Greville Nina@babcoc.org with the subject line “BABC-OC Scholarship Application – [Applicant’s Full Name]”.

Throughout our history, the British American Business Council Orange County has been committed to giving back to the community with many of our events raising funds for charities, often with a focus on the needs of local children. Social Responsibility is a priority to our organization, and we support this initiative through our Scholarship Fund, and the individual charitable efforts of our members.

     CRITERIA

• Application Form: Completion of the BABC-OC scholarship application form.
• Letters of Recommendation: At least one letter of recommendation from teachers, counselors, or community leaders.
• Essay Submission: A 750-1,250 word typed essay on one of the approved topics (listed in the link).
• Video Submission. A 3-5 minute video supporting the application and the essay submission.
