Since joining AllianceBernstein (AB) in October 2020 I have been a senior member of the $73 billion Global, US and Canadian Multi Sector Fixed Income teams managing portfolios in these groups. Prior to joining AB I was an Investment Director in the Trust Level Portfolio Management division at CalPERS, the largest defined benefit pension fund in the US, overseeing total fund investment deciding on both strategic and tactical asset allocation. The TLPM team determined benchmarks for and the size of allocations to each of the Fund’s asset classes and in that capacity in 2019 I led a review of the Fund’s equity investments to determine whether CalPERS should retain benchmarks that had a high level of international equity exposure. My other duties included evaluation of the most cost effective way to execute strategic and tactical portfolio changes and the implementation of ESG strategies.
